Alloway, T. P. Gathercole, S. E. Holmes, J. Place, M. Elliott, J. G.; Hilton, K. (2009) The Diagnostic Utility of Behavioral Checklists in Identifying Children with ADHD and Children with Working Memory Deficits Child Psychiatry & Human Development Vol.40(3) p.353-366. Retrieved [15 Sep 2009]
In this journal the authors explore the difference in diagnosing children with ADHD. The article helps emphasize the differences in ADHD. The limitation is that there is no clarification between inattentive behavioral characteristics and working memory deficits. The authors propose to further their research in order to clarify this matter. As the authors point out, children with ADHD are more likely to acquire lower grades in school. This helps my research as it addresses that teachers should not to jump to conclusions and need to be wary and provide other opportunities that are not academically focused for students with ADHD.
